In conjunction with the national finals rodeo in Las Vegas next month, Travis Kieckbusch, MD, of Great Basin Orthopaedics, will present to physicians, athletic trainers, and allied health personnel who work in the rodeo industry at the Evaluation, Management and Care of the Injured Rodeo Athlete symposium. The event, sponsored by the University of Colorado School of Medicine Office of Continuing Medical Education, is being held at The South Point Hotel in Las Vegas and provides attendees with continuing medical education credit. Topics will focus on care for the most common injuries sustained by the rodeo athlete. Dr. Kieckbusch's lecture will be given on December 9 at 10 am and will cover Medial Malleolous Fracture
In addition to his orthopaedic practice in Reno, Nevada, Dr. Kieckbusch is a Justin Sports Medicine Team rodeo physician who cares for athletes at the Reno Rodeo, as well as northern Nevada high school athletes at regional rodeo events. He also serves as an orthopaedic consultant to University of Nevada Wolf Pack athletes with several of his Great Basin colleagues.
